Marion Orr
RCC-ACS, CCC, CCS, SEP
Clinical Counsellor, Clinical Supervisor, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner
Welcome!
Marion provides individual and relational counselling from Victoria, BC. She provides in-person counselling within Victoria, and virtual support across the province, within Manitoba, and for remote communities.
Trauma:
Utilizing an integrative approach including EMDR, Somatic Experiencing and Mindful Self-Compassion I support individuals and their relations to recover from trauma of all types, whether accidents, workplace injury, medical issues, child abuse and neglect, gender-based violence, or other impactful life events.
Mental Health:
I commonly work with challenges such as anxiety and OCD, or general emotional distress. This can include depressed mood, low motivation, and challenges associated with neurodivergence (ADHD, Autism, Auti-HD).
Relationships:
Relationships are at the core of our human existence. Exploring our relationship challenges with Emotion-Focused Therapy, I support friends, partners, and adult families to improve communication and connection.
Clinical Supervison and Consultation:
Counselling can be isolating, and that isolation can be risky for you and your clients. I provide individual consultation and supervision to students and post-graduate professionals who want to improve their practice and keep growing. I am an approved supervisor with both the CCPA and the BCACC.
I strive to align all of my work with trauma-informed, feminist, Buddhist, and anti-oppressive foundations.
My practice is located on the traditional territories of the Lkwungen (Esquimalt and Songhees), Malahat, Pacheedaht, Scia’new, T’Sou-ke and W̱SÁNEĆ (Pauquachin, Tsartlip, Tsawout, Tseycum) peoples.
